The Environmental Partnership Appalachian Workshop 2025

The Environmental Partnership returned to the Appalachian Basin in July for a workshop in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. More than 55 TEP Appalachian area operators and academic experts convened to discuss challenges and further learnings about efforts to drive down methane emissions.

Operators discussed the value of methane research and basin-wide measurement collaborations such as the Appalachian Methane Initiative and shared practices on storage tank control system solutions, emissions quantification approaches, and strategies for managing EPA’s Super Emitter Program and other third-party emissions event notifications.

Events like basin-specific workshops offer the opportunity for local operators to come together to further our shared goal of improving environmental performance through learning and sharing of best practices.

Presentations from the TEP 2025 Appalachian Workshop are available for members in TEP’s Resources Section of the website.
