On December 15, 2021, The Environmental Partnership hosted its fourth annual and first in-person conference since 2019. The conference was held in Houston, TX, and focused on emissions detection, monitoring, and mitigation technologies.
With presentations from Nicole Downey of Earth System Sciences and Dan Zimmerle of Colorado State University (CSU), attendees received a deep dive into the latest detection technologies and testing methodologies. Nicole Downey discussed new technology being developed and deployed to detect emissions through aerial surveying, and Dan Zimmerle discussed detection trends being advanced by CSU’s Methane Emissions Technology Evaluation Center (METEC).
In addition to these presentations, a panel moderated by Exxonmobil’s Matt Kolesar discussed new commitments and partnerships being established to produce, process, and deliver responsibly sourced gas in today’s evolving market. The panel included representatives from MiQ, Project Canary, KinderMorgan, and Chesapeake.
